ABOUT ME

ABOUT ME

As much as I love writing software, that is only a small part of who I am. God has blessed me with a wonderful family and has instilled in me a calling to serve others. Below are snapshots into my life outside of work.

FAMILY

FAMILY

I married my high school (more like elementary school) sweet heart in 2008. God gave us two beautiful daughters that keep us blessed, stressed and busy. I wouldn't have it any other way. Over the years I've coached basketball, soccer, softball and now a travel softball team.

FAITH

FAITH

My faith in God is THE foundation of my life. On Jan 1, 2024, I was named Lead Pastor of the East Radford Church of God. My dad had served as pastor there for the previous 28 years, and I'm honored to be following in his footsteps. For over 13 years before becoming a Lead Pastor, I served as the Youth and Assistant Pastor of our church. I have also been privileged to evangelize across the state of Virginia in both youth services and revivals.

MUSIC

I play a bass guitar at church, but I've always wanted to be a banjo player. During covid I really put a lot of effort in learning to play the banjo (my wife and kids just loved it…). I don't play as much right now but I plan on getting back into it soon. This banjo is over 100 years old, it's my favorite.

THE VOLS

We Poston's are diehard Tennessee Vol fans. Knoxville is a little over three hours away, but we still make it to a few football, basketball, baseball and softball games each year. It's our little escape.
